Job Description :
The Field Representative will be on-site to oversee the progress and quality of the work performed and adherence to the contracted requirements.  This position will monitor the outside contractor's construction schedules, receives and reviews requests for changes and recommendations. $70-$75/hr. In addition:



  • Attend meetings as directed, observe required tests, record and report on testing procedures, testing results and verifying invoices.

  • Maintain records including correspondences, contract documents, change orders, construction change directives, reports of site meetings, and shop drawings.  Also maintain log-book of activities at the site including weather conditions, nature and location of work being performed.

  • Assist the Architect in conducting inspections to determine the date or dates of substantial completion and date of final completion.

  • Review the Contractor's record copy of drawings, specifications, addenda, change orders and other modifications at intervals appropriate to the state of construction and notify Architect of any issues.


Required Qualifications :
The On-Site Field Representative position requires a minimum of 10-years experience in a design/construction related to the field of engineering, construction management or architecture.  In addition, this position requires:



  • Bachelor's Degree (higher) in civil, structural or architectural engineering, or a related engineering field, from an accredited program.

  • Pipefitting experience.

  • Retired Superintendent a plus!

  • The ability to adhere to and understand safety concerns, safety protocols and requirements.

  • The ability and flexibility to work in the field; experience working on State-funded projects would be a plus.

  • Excellent technical, written and verbal communication skills are essential along with strong organizational skills.

  • The ability to read and interpret drawings, develop schedules, understand change orders and has experience related to the projects.  

  • Familiarity with construction materials to be able to review drawings and verify if materials installed and work in progress are as approved by Consultant.
