Real Estate Paralegal
Our Glens Falls, NY client is looking to add an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to their team. The Real Estate Paralegal assists attorneys with the legal aspects of real estate transactions and property management. This includes preparing and reviewing legal documents, conducting research, managing case files, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Document Preparation and Review:
- Draft and review real estate contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and other related documents.
- Prepare closing documents and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
- Review title reports, surveys, and other property-related documents.

Legal Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on property laws, zoning regulations, and land use.
- Analyze legal issues related to real estate transactions and provide summaries and recommendations to attorneys.

Transaction Management:
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, closings, and other transaction-related events.
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions.
- Manage transaction files and ensure that all necessary documentation is collected and organized.

Compliance and Filing:
- Ensure that all real estate transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- File necessary documents with government agencies and keep track of deadlines.

Client and Attorney Support:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for negotiations and court appearances related to real estate matters.
- Provide clients with updates and answers to their inquiries about their transactions or legal issues.

Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all transactions and communications.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and file management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Paralegal certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NALA, NFPA) is advantageous.
- Experience: Previous experience as a paralegal, preferably in real estate law or a related field. Experience with real estate transactions, title searches, and property management is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of real estate laws and regulations.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
