Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior Programmer/Analyst/Web Developer with a strong background in both current Internet technologies and IBM mainframe environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in software development and systems analysis, with a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain both web-based and mainframe applications. As part of our team, you will work on high-impact projects and contribute to the evolution of our systems and applications.


In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and optimize robust solutions that integrate modern web technologies with legacy IBM mainframe systems. This is an onsite role from Jan-Jun with the possibility of a hybrid schedule Jun-Dec. Regular work hours are 9-5. Free parking onsite.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Web Development: Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications using modern web technologies while ensuring seamless integration with IBM mainframe systems.

  • Mainframe Programming: Develop and maintain COBOL programs, CICS transactions, and DB2 databases within the z/OS environment. Ensure high performance and reliability of mainframe applications.

  • System Analysis: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and create solutions that meet business needs. Analyze and troubleshoot complex systems to improve functionality and performance.

  • Database Management: Utilize DB2 and SQL to design, query, and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient database performance.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and system administrators to deliver integrated solutions that meet both web and mainframe requirements.

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform system upgrades, apply patches, and resolve issues with both mainframe and web applications. Provide ongoing support for mission-critical systems.

  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in web technologies and mainframe systems to continually improve the company’s IT infrastructure and application capabilities.


Required Skills & Experience:



  • Minimum 4 years of experience in programming, system analysis, and development.

  • Strong experience working with IBM mainframes, specifically with z/OS, DB2, SQL, CICS, and COBOL.

  • Solid understanding of current Internet technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web frameworks).

  • Proven ability to design and maintain complex mainframe applications while integrating with modern web technologies.

  • Experience with z/VM and REXX is a plus, but not required.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications :
